RESEARCH REPORT 2015/2016

General overview

During the reporting period, 1 March 2015 to 29 February 2016, the Trust met regularly to discuss and decide about matters that will benefit the oilseeds industry and specifically sunflower, soybean, groundnut and canola.

During the period under review, R18 906 114 was approved in respect of research projects, provision of information and technology transfer. The amount of R18 906 114 was allocated as follows:

Soybean R5 557 246
Groundnut R2 095 199
Canola R1 575 336
General ¹ R7 074 032
Admin costs R2 344 877

¹ Included under general are the funding of provision of information, market access and research projects where a distinction between commodities is not possible.

Included in the R18 906 114 is funding to the amount of R6 906 234 specifically earmarked for transformation projects.

The above-mentioned amount excludes the following bursaries approved previously:
